Mothership’s API now provides AI-powered accessorial detection for pickup and delivery locations, giving customers earlier visibility into location-based needs and improving quote accuracy. These suggestions combine geospatial data, historical patterns, and site-level characteristics to identify potential accessorial requirements before booking — reducing surprises and improving overall cost accuracy.
When a pickup or delivery address is submitted through the Create Quote endpoint, Mothership Intelligence automatically analyzes the location and returns suggested accessorials based on factors such as access constraints, building types, and other site characteristics observed across our network.
Two new informational arrays are now included in quote responses:
pickup_location_suggested_accessorialsdelivery_location_suggested_accessorials
These fields are advisory only and provide additional context to enhance quoting flows, strengthen pre-booking decisioning, and support more accurate pricing — without requiring any new inputs or integration changes.
