We made the booking flow more informative for all customers. Your quotes now include more information about each carrier and more carrier options on local quotes, to help you make faster decisions with more choices on the table.
What's changing

A carrier score on every rate card. Each carrier's score now shows up right on your rate cards, so you can see how a carrier performs before you book.

Insurance coverage on every rate card. See each carrier's coverage right next to price and transit time.

All eligible National LTL partner carriers on local quotes. Before, a quote within a local zone showed only Mothership options. Now every quote shows all eligible carriers, so a local quote can include Mothership Direct and LTL carriers side by side, each with its carrier score.

New ways to sort. Sort your quotes by Price (low), Price (high), Transit time, or Carrier score.
How carrier scores work
The carrier score on each rate card is a summary of that carrier's detailed scorecard in the LTL Carrier Scorecard, so you can compare carriers at a glance. It's built from real Mothership shipment data covering on-time delivery, damage & loss, and rebills. Metrics refresh every 30 days, using the last 60 days for on-time pickup and delivery and the last 120 days for rebill rate, average rebill cost, and damage & loss. If a carrier doesn't have enough recent shipments yet, it won't have a carrier score. For full metric definitions, see the LTL Carrier Scorecard FAQ.
How to use it

Get a quote on the Ship page as usual, local or long-distance.

Check the carrier score and insurance coverage on each rate card.

Sort your quotes by Price (low), Price (high), Transit time, or Carrier score.

Pick the option that fits what matters most to you, whether that's Mothership Direct or an LTL carrier.

Why we're making this change
The cheapest rate isn't always the most reliable one. We want to be as transparent as possible and help you pick a carrier based on the metrics that matter most to your business. Showing more about every carrier, right next to price and transit time, helps you choose with confidence, including on local shipments.
