Resolve failed payments from your dashboard | 2026-10-26
You can now resolve a failed payment from your Mothership dashboard within a 5-business-day grace period, and keep quoting and booking until it's paid.
Release Date: 2026-10-26
What changed
When a payment fails after booking or on a rebill, your account is no longer put on hold right away. You get a 5-business-day grace period to pay from your dashboard, and you can keep quoting and booking shipments in the meantime.
The new flow includes:
- An email as soon as a payment fails, with the amount, invoices, and pay-by date
- A dashboard banner with what's due, the pay-by date, and a Pay now button
- Pay now opens Billing with your unpaid invoices already selected
- Access restored as soon as your payment is processing, with no need to contact support
Why this matters
Previously, a failed payment meant reaching out to support to resolve it. Now you can fix it yourself, on your own time, without your freight stopping.
How it works
- A payment fails after booking or on a rebill.
- You get an email, and a banner appears in your dashboard.
- Click Pay now and pay all unpaid invoices within 5 business days.
- The banner clears once your payment is processing.
If the invoices aren't paid within 5 business days, your account is suspended and quoting and booking are paused until they're paid. Shipments already in progress aren't affected. Several failed payments in a short time, or a high unpaid balance, can suspend your account right away, even during a grace period.
What to do next
No action is required. If a payment fails, follow the email or the banner in your dashboard to pay.
