We’ve renewed our Freight Protect™ cargo insurance program to bring you faster claim resolutions and continued peace of mind. As part of this renewal, a few updates have been made to ensure coverage stays compliant and transparent.

The new terms take effect on November 17, 2025, superseding the prior endorsement from November 16, 2024.

Key Changes

  • Rate Adjustment: Insurance is now applied at a rate of $0.27 per $100 of shipment value, with a $22.55 minimum premium coverage amount.

  • Coverage Minimum: Coverage begins at $22.55, equal to approximately $8,000 in declared shipment value.

  • Proof of Delivery (POD): Claims filed 6+ days after a clean POD (no damage noted) may be void.

  • Concealed damage reporting:

    • Must be reported within 5 days of delivery.

    • Claims filed after 5 days (up to 60 days) will still be reviewed, but the shipper must provide proof that the damage occurred during transit.

Additional Information

$100 Deductible (remains the same): A deductible of $100 applies to each approved claim. For example, a $500 claim will result in a $400 payout after the deductible.

What This Means for You

These updates ensure your freight remains protected under Loadsure’s latest underwriting standards while continuing to provide:

  • Faster claim review and reimbursement vs. basic carrier coverage

  • Clearer claim eligibility and reporting timelines

  • Continued access to trusted, per-shipment cargo coverage

What You Should Do

  • Inspect shipments carefully and note any visible damage or shortage on your Proof of Delivery (POD)

  • Report concealed damage within 5 days of delivery for full coverage eligibility
