Add your own shipments to your daily Mothership schedule for better routing and more accurate ETAs, and receive offers closer to where you’re going.
How do I add non-Mothership loads to my schedule?
To add your own shipment, follow these steps:
Navigate to “Nearby” in the app.
Tap on “Add your own shipments.”
Enter the required details for the shipment:
Pickup and delivery addresses
Pickup and delivery service windows
Number of pallet spaces
Total weight of the shipment
Confirm and add the shipment to your schedule.
Can I edit or delete a shipment after adding it?
Yes, you can edit or delete any shipment you’ve entered. To do this, go to “Schedule,” select the shipment you want to modify, and edit or delete it.
What happens if a shipment doesn’t fit into my Mothership schedule?
If adding a shipment causes potential delays or exceeds your vehicle’s capacity, the app will alert you with messages such as:
This shipment may cause you to be late to a stop in your schedule. Do you still want to add it?
This shipment exceeds your vehicle's capacity.
You can adjust your schedule or vehicle settings accordingly or decline to add the shipment.
How are my own shipments added to my schedule?
Once you add a shipment, it’s automatically added to your daily route.
Do I need to use the app at pick-up and drop-off for non-Mothership loads?
No, however, you can invite customers to book through Mothership through referrals.
How do I refer a customer from my own shipments to Mothership?
After entering a shipment, if you check “Yes, refer this customer,” you will be directed to a pre-filled referral screen with the customer’s info. You can refer this customer to Mothership, and if they’re a good fit, you’ll earn bonuses and get prioritized for their shipments. Learn more about referral rewards in this article.
Do my own shipments impact my Carrier Rating?
The rating comprises on-time and cancelation data from your most recently accepted and completed Mothership loads. Your own shipments do not count toward your carrier rating. However, standard penalties will apply if you run late for a Mothership shipment due to an external shipment.
What happens if I add my own shipments but do not currently have any Mothership loads?
You can route your own shipments, even if you don’t currently have any Mothership loads in your schedule. Letting us know where you’ll be throughout the day helps us send you offers that are closer to your real-time location.
Can I route shipments with one pick-up and multiple deliveries?
If you have shipments with one pickup and multiple deliveries, please create a separate shipment for each pickup/drop-off. Our routing algorithm will automatically combine all the pickups into one single stop, and allow more flexibility to find you more loads.
Why should I set wide service windows?
Narrow windows make it much harder for our routing algorithm to find you more loads. Keep your time windows as wide as possible.
Can I choose the order of my own shipments?
Avoid trying to manually set the order of your own shipments. Setting narrow arrival windows will make it more difficult for the routing algorithm to find you more loads. If you prefer an order other than the route provided, simply navigate out of order.
