Shipping to Tradeshows

When shipping to tradeshows, be sure to select the “Tradeshow” accessorial during booking.

A tradeshow fee is charged due to increased time for the driver. In addition, carriers are often required to process paperwork or visit busy offsite marshaling yards.

Tradeshow shipping requirements

When the Tradeshow accessorial is selected, the following information is required to be included in your Pickup Notes or Delivery Notes, depending on whether you're shipping from or to a tradeshow location.

Required information

  • Trade show name and/or marshaling yard for final delivery.

  • Company Booth name

  • Booth number

  • Contact name on-site

For Mothership Local you can update the pick up or delivery notes for a shipment in the Mothership dashboard until the shipment has been assigned to a carrier so we recommend doing this right after booking, if needed.

Why This Is Important

Adding this information directly to the Pickup or Delivery Notes ensures your shipment is processed quickly and accurately. Without it, our team must contact you to collect these details — which can lead to shipping delays and missed delivery windows. Having this information upfront allows us to work faster on your behalf and helps your shipment stay on schedule.

Avoid delays by double-checking that all required tradeshow details are included before your shipment is picked up.
