What is a Truck waiting fee?

A truck waiting fee is charged by the hour when a driver is forced to wait at the pick-up or delivery location for reasons beyond the driver's control.

  • Driver is picking up or delivering at a congested port or warehouse

  • Freight is not ready

  • No one is available to receive driver for pickup or delivery

  • More freight is given than listed on BOL and driver must wait for freight to be reorganized and consolidated in order to fit

  • Pick-up or delivery address is wrong

  • Pick-up or delivery address is wrong
