To join our carrier network, you must meet the following requirements:

  • An active DOT number

  • A valid MC number (CA drivers are not required to have an MC #)

  • Proof of insurance coverage

  • A mobile device capable of downloading and running the Mothership Carrier app

    • Carriers only receive offers when sharing their location

    • Carriers using the app receive more offers

What are the requirements for insurance?

  • General Liability insurance in a minimum coverage amount of $1,000,000.

  • Minimum cargo coverage of $100,000.

  • Workers' compensation insurance or equivalent as required by applicable law. If you do not carry workers' compensation insurance, you must be exempted from a legal requirement to have it.

What kind of equipment do we accept?

  • Box/straight truck

  • Tractor-trailer

  • We do not allow personal vehicles such as sedans, pickup trucks, or other non-commercial vehicles.

Why do you need my information?

Mothership requires this information to validate that your carrier registration and insurance are up to date. We also use it to validate your tax information and business entity status. We don't store your personal banking information; it's automatically passed through to our partner Plaid, a tool that securely links bank accounts to our app.

Additionally, your information helps us provide the best possible offers. For example, if a carrier operates a box truck without liftgate, the carrier will not receive offers that require liftgate. When we know your truck type, you'll receive offers that are suited for your equipment.
