What changed
You can now initiate a rebill dispute directly from the Billing UI, in addition to the Tracking / Documents tab.
Rebills that need your input now display an Action Required status in the invoice table until a dispute is initiated.
After you submit a dispute, the invoice status now clearly shows Dispute in progress so you can see that it’s actively being reviewed.
When a dispute is resolved, the invoice status now clearly reflects the next steps or is removed based on the dispute outcome.
Why this matters
Previously, you could only dispute rebills from the Tracking / Documents tab, and once a dispute was submitted there was limited visibility into what happened next. This created uncertainty, repeat follow-ups, and extra operational overhead.
This update makes rebill disputes a first-class part of the Billing workflow and ensures dispute status is visible end-to-end, so you always know whether action is required, a dispute is under review, or a final decision has been made. Removing the post-finalization hold also helps close the loop faster and reduces confusion about timing.
How it works
Review rebill invoices in Billing
If a rebill requires your input and no dispute has been started, it will show Action Required in the invoice table.
Start a dispute (two entry points)
You can submit a dispute from: Billing (new), or Tracking / Documents (still supported).
Track dispute status in Billing
After a dispute is submitted, the invoice status updates to Dispute in progress while the dispute is being reviewed.
Once the dispute is resolved, the invoice status updates or is removed based on the outcome.
What you need to do
Use Billing as your primary workflow to manage rebills and disputes going forward. If you see Action Required, open the rebill invoice and initiate a dispute if the charge is incorrect. Review the updated FAQ for additional details.
