What changed
We’ve added a dedicated line for reference numbers on pallet labels to improve tracking and reconciliation:
Pick-up reference number is now displayed on pallet labels when provided during booking.
Delivery reference number is now displayed on pallet labels when provided during booking.
These updated pallet labels are included in the BOL document package you download and are required to use for each shipment.
Why this matters
Previously, pallet labels did not show reference numbers, making it harder for warehouse, carrier, and accounting teams to match freight to orders or internal records. Including these fields improves visibility on the dock and reduces labeling and reconciliation errors.
How it works
When you enter pick-up and/or delivery reference numbers during booking, those values are now printed on the pallet labels that come with your BOL documents.
If you leave these fields blank, the reference line will not appear on the labels.
Labels are generated as part of your standard BOL document download flow.
What you need to do
Continue to download and use the Mothership-generated BOL documents and included pallet labels for every shipment. This is mandatory.
Enter pick-up and delivery reference numbers during booking whenever your internal processes require them.
Make sure your operations and warehouse teams print and apply these labels so they can use the reference numbers for easier matching and tracking.
Using the BOL documents and pallet labels we generate is required in order to receive Mothership’s discounted rates.
