Driver Assist is extra work required during a delivery, beyond standard curbside drop-off. This includes tasks like:
Breaking down pallets
Staging items in a garage or inside a building
Other manual handling that goes beyond curbside delivery
Note: Carriers are not expected to unpack deliveries
How do I get paid for Driver Assist?
After checking in at the stop, select “Yes (only with Driver Assist)” on the screen that asks “Can you unload?”
On the next screen, fill out:
The type of work required
The reason Driver Assist is needed
The name of the person who requested it at the delivery site
Tap Confirm and start work.
Do I need to take photos?
Yes. Photos are required to support Driver Assist:
Before photo: Take one before starting the work to show the condition of the shipment and why extra work is needed.
After photo(s): Take at least one photo after the work is complete to show the delivery was successful.
What happens after I finish the work?
Upload your after photos.
Tap “Yes” on the screen that asks “Done with unloading and driver assist at this stop?”
You’ll see a summary of your Driver Assist compensation.
The receiver will review and sign to confirm the extra charge.
How much do I get paid for Driver Assist?
You’ll be paid $8 for every 10 minutes of additional work, up to a maximum of 60 minutes per delivery.
