# What is a booking fee?

A booking fee is a small charge applied to each shipment made through Mothership's dashboard. It helps cover administrative costs and supports the ongoing development of features that enhance your shipping experience. The fee will be clearly displayed during the booking process, allowing you to see the exact cost before confirming your shipment.
