# Residential Service

## How residential vs. commercial addresses are classified, and residential limits.

### What counts as a residential address, and does Mothership deliver there?

A **residential / non-commercial** address includes homes and places like schools, daycares, camps, farms, and places of worship. **Mothership does not do residential pickups**; residential deliveries require a liftgate and a residential fee. Details below.

### Residential pick-up

Mothership does not accommodate residential pick-ups.

### Residential delivery

Your freight was delivered to a residence or non-commercial location. This must be indicated at time of booking by selecting "Residential" in the accessorial drop-down.

Delivery to residences/non-commercial locations shall be limited to the front entrance, back door, garage, or carport.

Residential service is $25 for direct shipments. Please ensure you select the residential accessorial at booking. Otherwise, you will be re-billed and charged a residential adjustment fee after the shipment is complete. - **Note: **When ShipBot detects a residential address, the residential accessorial will automatically be applied to your shipment. If ShipBot incorrectly selects this accessorial, you can remove it. The term “residences/non-commercial” includes homes, businesses operating within a private residence, places of worship, schools, daycares, camps, farms, storage facilities, and other locations not recognized as commercial locations.
