Is my freight covered by insurance?

How Mothership makes sure your cargo is covered.

We take the safety of your freight seriously. We require our government-permitted partner carriers to keep cargo coverage that meets or exceeds federal and state requirements.

During checkout, FreightProtect™ coverage is automatically applied to your shipment. FreightProtect™ offers 100% reimbursement on the declared value of your freight and claims can get approved in as little as 24 hours. However, it's also possible to opt out and rely solely on the carrier's insurance. It's important to keep in mind that the carrier's insurance may take up to 120 days to approve or deny claims.

For basic coverage with verified carriers on our network, the required cargo coverage limits are as follows:

Up to $100,000 per occurrence
