# Full Truckload (FTL)

## What is a full truckload?

When there is enough freight to fill an entire truck it is a full truckload. All FTL shipments are considered direct since this freight is handled by Mothership partner carriers within Mothership's [same-day local zones.](https://help.mothership.com/same-day-zones?hsLang=en) This is also the fastest and most secure shipping option.
