# Freight-ready time improvements and lower rush fees | 2026-10-07

We're updating how Same-Day Rush works for same-day shipments on the local Mothership Carrier Network, so you can schedule later pickups for the same low price.

Here's what's changed:

- **Book before 9am** (pickup zone local time) and your freight can be ready for pickup anytime that day at the standard rate, with no rush fee for a later ready time.
- **Book after 9am** for same-day pickup and a rush fee applies, no matter what time your freight is ready.
- **Lower LTL rush fee:** the Rush fee for LTL shipments is now 25% of the shipment cost (1.25× the standard rate), down from 50% (1.5×).

**Rush fees are different for LTL and FTL. The lower 25% Rush fee applies to LTL shipments. FTL shipments booked after 9 AM for same-day pickup are charged a 100% rush fee (2× the standard rate).**

### **Why we're making this change**

Booking early now gets you more same-day flexibility. And when you need to book a same-day pickup later in the day, you'll pay a lower rush fee without giving up the reliability you count on.

The updated pricing is live in your dashboard now.
