Proof of delivery (POD) is a method to establish the fact that the recipient received the sender's freight. Traditionally a signature is collected on a delivery receipt when the freight arrives safely and is faxed or mailed to the sender to verify the delivery.

One of the main benefits of shipping with Mothership is the ability to digitally collect and store signatures for all direct shipments. Your verified carrier on the Mothership network will collect a signature on their mobile device at drop-off, and you will be instantly notified that your shipment arrived safely. If shipping direct, your POD will be conveniently accessible through both the Tracking and the Billing pages when the shipment is complete.

If your completed shipment is not direct, you can access your POD by navigating to the tracking page of your dashboard, selecting your shipment, and clicking "View BOL / POD" in the top-right. We partner with trusted national carriers for extended shipments, so we must wait for our partner carriers to send us a POD document before it becomes available to you.

Please note that it may take up to 24 hours after delivery for your POD to be digitized and available.
