# Connect Mothership to your AI assistant | 2026-11-2

## Mothership now connects to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and any MCP assistant.

You can now connect ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and any assistant to your Mothership account using MCP. Ask for rates, track shipments and pull documents, all within your personal agent, without opening the dashboard. Anyone with a Mothership dashboard login can connect, at no extra cost.

### What changed

**Mothership in your AI assistant**

- Add the Mothership MCP server, https://mcp.mothership.com, to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or any assistant that supports MCP.
- Your assistant gets dozens of Mothership tools and picks the right one for each request.
- Sign in with your Mothership dashboard login. Your assistant gets the same access and permissions you have in the dashboard.

**What you can ask for**

- Get rates and estimated delivery dates by describing your shipment.
- Got a list of lanes? Let your agent quote them all.
- Check on any shipment, see what's delayed, and find or count shipments by date, status or carrier.
- Get links to your BOL and delivery receipt.
- Find the right freight class from an NMFC number, a product description, or weight and dimensions.
- Check whether we serve an address and whether it's residential or commercial.
- Review invoices, rebills and payment methods.
- Invite teammates and set up webhooks.
- Get answers from the Mothership Help Center.

Booking and payments stay in your dashboard for now. More is on the way, including handling more of your freight workflow without leaving the conversation.

### Why this matters

Freight questions no longer mean opening another tab. Ask in the assistant you already use, get answers from your own Mothership account, and move on to the next task.

### How it works

1. Copy the server URL: https://mcp.mothership.com
2. Add it as a new connector in your AI app.
3. Sign in with your Mothership account.

Then chat away. Try "Show me every delayed shipment this week" or "Get me the BOL for my last shipment." Where you add a connector depends on your AI app and plan, and our setup guides walk through each step.

### What you need to do

- Nothing changes in your dashboard. Connect your AI assistant whenever you're ready.
- Use your existing Mothership dashboard login. There's no separate account and no extra cost.
- Need help? Contact Support from the dashboard. If a specific tool doesn't work as expected, ask your assistant to send feedback through the Mothership MCP.
