What is an Appointment accessorial?
An Appointment is an accessorial that requires the delivery to be scheduled directly with the receiver before delivery can be completed. When selected, the carrier uses the delivery contact information provided at booking to call or email the receiver and coordinate a delivery appointment.
For Mothership Carrier Network (local) shipments, the Appointment accessorial is available when a scheduled appointment is required for delivery. The fee is $45 per shipment.
For National LTL Partner Carrier shipments, appointments are scheduled by the LTL partner carrier after the shipment arrives at the final delivery terminal. Appointment availability may affect overall transit time. Pricing varies by LTL partner carrier.

Note: The Appointment accessorial is different from a Scheduled Delivery Window, which allows recipients of eligible Mothership Carrier Network (local) single shipments to select from available 4-hour delivery windows through the Mothership dashboard.
